Luke M. Leaman

Luke M. Leaman, 85 of Ephrata, formerly of East Earl, died Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Fairmount Homes after a brief illness.

Born in Goodville, he was the son of the late Clayton D. and Esther (Martin) Leaman. His wife, Dorothy (Wanner) Leaman, died Sept. 30, 2001.

Luke worked as a service manager for Sauder Chevrolet and later for Conestoga Wood Specialties.

He was a member at Weaverland Mennonite Church and he enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.

Surviving are four children, Donna J., married to Glen Kanagy of Belleville, Carol A., married to Tim Weaver of New Holland, Sandy L., married to Clair Martin of Narvon, and Dale L., married to Lonita Leaman of New Holland; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Evelyn Bare of New Holland, Clayton Leaman of East Earl, Dorothy, married to Horace Wanner of New Holland, Mark, married to Brenda Leaman of East Earl, and Paul Leaman of Terre Hill.

Preceding him in death is a sister, Irene Leaman; and two brothers, Elmer and Roy Leaman.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 18 at 10 am at Weaverland Mennonite Church, 210 Weaverland Valley Road, East Earl with the Pastor Brian Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held on Thursday, at the Church, from 6-8 pm and on Friday from 9-10 am.
