Luke O. Ringler

Luke O. Ringler, 62, of Mohnton, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading.

He was married 41 years to Sandra J. Redcay Ringler. Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Amos K. and Esther Oberholtzer Ringler.

Luke worked hard as a self-employed stone mason. He was well-known in the field for his skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail. When he wasn't working, he was in the woods hunting. During the summer, he also enjoyed deep sea fishing. He was a member of Bowmansville Mennonite Church.

Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Carissa N. wife of Gary M. High of New Paris, and Michelle L. wife of Chad A. Martin of Harrisburg; five granddaughters, Sara, Anna and Leah High and Brielle and Reagan Martin; five sisters, Harriet wife of Aaron M. Weaver, of WI, Emma wife of Melvin Roy Hurst of Denver, Elva Burkholder of Ephrata, Nancy wife of Lowell M. Martin of Newville, and Rebecca Martin of NY; six brothers, Edwin husband of Darlene (Horst) Ringler of East Earl, James husband of Anna S. (Newswanger) Ringler of WI, Elmer husband of Susanna B. (Martin) Ringler of Blandon, Joseph husband of Carolyn (Nace) Ringler of Mohnton, Glen husband of Alice (Martin) Ringler of East Earl, and Curvin husband of Mary (Eberly) Ringler of Mohnton; and a brother-in-law, Jonas S. Newwanger of Narvon. He was preceded in death by a sister, Roseanna O. Newswanger.


A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 30th at 10:30 AM at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church, 129 Pleasant Valley Road, East Earl, PA with Pastor Tony Witmer officiating. The family will greet friends on Saturday September 30th from 9 AM until the time of the service. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Bowmansville Mennonite Church.
