Luke Ray Zimmerman

Luke Ray Zimmerman 85, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Lincoln Christian Home. He was preceded in death by his wife Arlene (Nolt) Zimmerman. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church.

He was a lifelong farmer, dairyman, truck driver, and previous owner of Country Sugar. The grandchildren remember Grandpa for his food, whether it was a snack when you stopped by or his delicious burgers on the grill.

He was the son of Eli B. & Anna Zimmerman. He is survived by 4 children: Darla wife of Eli Nolt, Carolyn wife of Marvin Horst, Jerry Zimmerman husband of Lois, and Judy wife of Michael Groff; 21 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren; and 7 siblings: his twin sister Lena Mae wife of Donald Burkholder, Paul Zimmerman husband of Judy, Mary wife of late Leroy Weber, Rachel wife of Martin Weaver, Eli Zimmerman Jr husband of Geraldine, Ruth Ann wife of Marvin Weaver, and Marian wife of James Oberholtzer.

A viewing will be on Sunday, March 1, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Martindale Mennonite Fellowship Center, 352 Martindale Road, Ephrata. An additional viewing will be on Monday, March 2, 2026 from 9-10 AM at Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church, 140 Pleasant Valley Road, Ephrata followed by funeral services at 10:00 AM with officiating ministers Larry Weaver, Edwin Shirk, Lester Burkholder, and Dave Weber. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.

The family was grateful for the wonderful care he received at Lincoln Christian Home over the past year and a half.
