Lydia Ann Martin

Lydia Ann Martin, 95, of 121 Hurst Rd., Ephrata, died Friday, January 13 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos W. Martin in 1986. Born in Brecknock Twp., she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Lydia (Shirk) Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of the Martindale Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference. Surviving are five children: Rebecca M. Martin, with whom she resided; Ammon M. married to Lizzie N. Martin, Leola; Eli M. married to Nora H. Martin, Millmont; Amos M. married to Sandra L. Martin, Ronks; and Alice M. married to Samuel Z. Horning, Mifflinburg; 22 grandchildren; and 93 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Irvin M. Martin, two sisters: Mary Kilmer and Hettie Nolt; three brothers: Eli, Moses, and Daniel Martin; three great grandsons and two great granddaughters. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 17 at 9 AM at her late home with further services at 9:30 AM at Martindale Mennonite Church with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at her late home on Monday from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM. Kindly omit flowers.
