Lydia S. Zimmerman, 95, of 220 Conestoga Creek Rd., East Earl, died Saturday, October 4, 2014 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac N. Zimmerman in 2004.
Born in West Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Amos and Emma (Sensenig) Weaver.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Weaverland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.
Surviving are seven children: Marvin W. married to Esther (Hoover) Zimmerman, Denver; Amos W. married to Mabel Z. (Sensenig) Zimmerman, Stevens; Aaron W. married to Edna H. (Nolt) Zimmerman, Denver; Noah W. married to Frances N. (Shirk) Zimmerman, Shippensburg; Elvin W. married to Etta R. (Zimmerman) Zimmerman, Shippensburg; Mahlon W. married to Mabel Z. (Zeiset) Zimmerman, East Earl; Elva W. married to John D. Sensenig, East Earl; 58 grandchildren; 272 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister Ella S. Zimmerman.
She was preceded in death by three children: Irvin, Ruth, and Etta; a sister Lizzie Horst; four brothers: Paul, Aaron, Amos and Reuben Weaver; a grandson and six great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 8 at 12:30 p.m. at her late home with further services at 1 p.m. at Weaverland Mennonite Church with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at her late home on Tuesday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
