M. Mervin Weaver

M. Mervin Weaver, 80, of East Earl, entered into rest, at his home, while under Hospice Care, on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Born in Farmersville, he was the son of the late Amos and Vera (Sensenig) Weaver. He was married 58 years this past December 31st to Lizzie R. (Hoover) Weaver.

He was a retired farmer and a member of the Spring Grove Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Surviving is addition to his wife are two sons, Mervin husband of Jane Z. (Horning) Weaver of New Enterprise, and Justus husband of MaryJane N. (Shirk) Weaver of East Earl; four daughters, Susan wife of Rufus L. Zimmerman of New Enterprise, Ruth wife of Nevin M. Zimmerman of Rushville, NY, Linda wife of Wilmer M. Hoover of Ephrata, and Jane wife of Lamar L. Zimmerman of Martindale; 43 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; six siblings, Verna wife of Willis Hoover of Alton, OH, Esther wife of Amos Zimmerman of East Earl, Mary Ella wife of Jonas Zimmerman of East Earl, Vera wife of Paul Hoover of Leola, Ruth wife of Noah Reiff of Leola, and David husband of Martha Weaver of KY; and a sister-in-law, Vera Mae Martin of Ephrata. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elva H. Weaver, by a son, Nelson H. Weaver, and an infant son, James H. Weaver; one brother, Melvin Earl Weaver and by two infant sisters, Elva and Alta Weaver.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 7, at 9:30 A.M. at the Weaverland Mennonite Church, 1120 Weaverland Road, East Earl, PA with Bishop Titus Zimmerman officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewings will be held at the home of Justus and MaryJane Weaver, 1570 Weaverland Road, East Earl, on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
