Mabel H. Zeiset, 85, of 542 Countryside Lane, New Holland, formerly of East Earl, died unexpectedly Monday, November 28, 2011 at her home. Born in East Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Mahlon H. and Alta (Zimmerman) Horst. Her husband, John J. Zeiset, died Dec. 7, 2006. Mabel was a homemaker and a member of the Groffdale Conference Mennonite. Surviving are five daughters, Alta Zeiset of Ephrata, Vera, married to Weaver Zimmerman of Ephrata, Miriam, married to Alson Martin of Limesprings, IA, Susan, married to Floyd Martin of Shippensburg, and Laura, married to Mervin Martin of New Holland; a son, Luke, married to Edna (Stauffer) Zeiset of Charles City, IA; 37 grandchildren; 73 great grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters, John, married to Emma (Zeiset) Horst of East Earl, Ruth, married to Ivan Zimmerman of New Holland, Martha, married to Adin Martin of Mt. Joy, Esther Martin of East Earl, Milton, married to Lydia (Weaver) Horst of East Earl, Elizabeth, married to Raymond Zimmerman of Denver, Vera, married to Leroy Reiff of Broadtop, and Edna, married to Harry Leinbach of Barnett, MO. Preceding her in death are two brothers, Christ and Luke Horst; two grandchildren, Curtis and Lucille Martin; and a great grandson, Jefferson Martin. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 2 at 8:45 am at 540 Countryside Lane, New Holland, with further services at 9:30 am at Weaverland Mennonite Church with the Bishop Titus H. Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held on Thursday at 540 Countryside Lane, New Holland from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Kindly omit flowers.
