Margaret P. Bowman

Margaret P. Bowman, 87, formerly of East Earl, died Sunday, January 10, 2016, at Fairmount Homes. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren E. Bowman in 1995.

Born in Fetterville, she was the daughter of the late Harry M. and Carrie (Troop) Parmer.

A lifetime member of Bridgeville E.C. Church, she enjoyed Bible Study. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Samuel Fear Chapter 417, Honey Brook.

Margaret had been a quiller for 15 years at Frank Ix & Sons, New Holland, and pattern cutter at SLC Fashion Corp., Blue Ball for 15 years. She truly loved her Pomeranian pets and loved travelling, gardening, knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by her daughter, Gwendolyn K. Mylin, Leola; two grandchildren, Wesley Mylin, Leola, and Dena, married to Neftali Rivera, Lancaster; and a great grandchild, Delaney Rivera.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Helen I. Weaver; her brother, Lloyd E. Parmer; a son-in-law, Dennis Mylin; and an infant brother, Lester Parmer.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, January 15, at 2:00 p.m. at the Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland, with Pastor Dan Blank officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bridgeville E.C. Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 1 – 2 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Kindly omit flowers. If desired, memorials may be sent to Fairmount Homes Sharing Fund, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata, PA 17522.
