Margaret Jane Miller

Margaret Jane Miller, 85, of Elverson, died Monday, December 23, 2013 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Morgantown, she was the daughter of the late William W. and Anna Mae (Berstler) Peck. Her husband, Harold “Buss” Miller, died Apr. 27, 2009.

Jane worked as a bookkeeper for the family dairy business for many years along with being a homemaker.

She was a member of the Morgantown United Methodist Church and served as an officer for the former Morgantown Woman’s Club. She was an avid Bridge player and reader. She also enjoyed bird watching, dogs, and was always there to assist those in need.

Surviving are three children, W. Jeffrey, married to Mary Rita (Murphy) Miller of West Nantmeal, Steve, married to Joan (Fenstermacher) Miller of Fleetwood, and Laurie, married to Mark Rando of Scotch Plains, NJ; seven grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn, married to Robert Weaver of New Holland; and a close friend, Anna Mae Hoffman of Elverson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 27 at 10 am at Hopewell Christian Fellowship, 2286 Hopewell Road, Elverson with the Reverend Mark Kraybill officiating. Interment will be in the Caernarvon Cemetery, Morgantown. Viewing will be held on Thursday from 6-8 pm and on Friday from 9-10 am at the Church.
