Maria Yungel

Maria Yungel, 91, of New Holland and Englewood, FL, passed away on January 9, 2024, at her home.

Born in Vienna, Austria, she was the daughter of the late Emma Tengler. She was the wife of the late Karl E. Yungel Jr., with whom she shared 46 years of marriage until his passing in 2000.

She was a seamstress, worked for Phillips Corporation in Vienna, and was also a homemaker. A nationally-ranked master swimmer and award-winning watercolorist, she also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, travelling, and meeting people.

Maria is survived by her children: James K. (Kathleen) Yungel of Salisbury, MD; Lisa B. (Matthew) Schuster of McClure, PA; grandson, Kurt Yungel of Manhattan; and her nephew, Wolfgang Tengler of Vienna. In addition to her mother and husband, she is predeceased by her brother, Josef.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
