Marian M. Groff

Marian M. Groff, 65, of 1283 Earl Ave., East Earl, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Ephrata Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Groff in 2003.

Born in Stevens, she was the daughter of the late Esther G. (Musser) Nolt and Elam G. Nolt of East Earl.

Marian was last employed as a supervisor at Bareville Garment Factory and was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church.

She enjoyed crocheting rugs, word search puzzles, playing Scrabble, and being in the outdoors.

Surviving in addition to her father is a son, Anthony married to Judy (Zimmerman) Groff, East Earl; two step-daughters: Jean married to David Baliles, New Holland and Evelyn married to Pinhas Zafrany, New Holland; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; a step-great grandson; and eight siblings: Arlene married to Donald Groff, Stevens; Marvin married to Rhoda (Kolb) Nolt, Stevens; Dorothy married to Dale Weaver, East Earl; Lois married to Ivan Ray Sensenig, Lebanon; Arthur married to Erla (Sensenig) Nolt, Claire, MI; Carl married to Joyce (Nolt) Nolt, Peach Bottom; Warren married to Lois (Graybill) Nolt, Dodge Center, MN; and James married to Rosene (Nolt) Nolt, Peach Bottom.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, April 27 at 10 AM at the Martindale Mennonite Church, 171 Hurst Rd., Ephrata with Pastors David E. Sensenig and Matthew Martin and Bishop Earl Sensenig officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Thursday (TONIGHT) from 6 – 9 PM and on Friday from 9 – 10 AM. Kindly omit flowers. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements
