Marilyn Metzler Martin

Marilyn Bowman Martin, 68, of East Earl, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

She was the wife of Clarence H. Martin. Born in Blue Ball, she was the daughter of the late Raymond S. and Ruth Metzler Bowman.

Marilyn was a homemaker and a member of Metzler Mennonite Church. Marilyn loved to call people and recite scripture, poems or songs. She enjoyed riding along with her son’s hauling livestock, going to the cabin and beach, biblical stories and lighthouses.

Surviving besides her husband, are four sons, Gary husband of Jessica Horst Martin of New Holland, Justin Martin and Jason Martin both of Denver, and Gerald husband of Emily Spence Martin of East Earl; five grandchildren, Cheyenne wife of Andrew Horst, Savannah Martin, Sierra Martin, Wyatt Martin, Elizabeth Martin; and a great grandson Hudson Horst; 13 siblings, Mary Jane Horning, Miriam Mentzer, Paul husband of Lynn Bowman, Esther wife of Ken Martin, Raymond Bowman, Clair husband of Fannie Bowman, Glenn husband of Sally Bowman, Ruth Ann wife of Dale Martin, Arlene wife of Ken Shirk, Marlene Weaver, Doris wife of Daryl Martin, Carl husband of Carol Bowman, and Brenda Baum; a brother-in-law, Glenn husband of Ginny Hoover, and a sister-in-law, Brenda Bowman. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Jean Hoover, and a brother, Lester Bowman.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 21st, at 10:30 A.M. at Metzler Mennonite Church, 515 W. Metzler Road, Ephrata, PA with Ryan Bomgardner, Scott Garman, and Lee Roy Martin officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewings will be held at the church on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service.
