Marion L. Means, 76, of Newmanstown, died Monday, December 16, 2019 at WellSpan York Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Steven Klader and Dorothy May (Robinson) Klader Butterfield. She was married to Kevin J. Cummings.
Marion worked for many years in the finishing department of Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry in Schaefferstown.
Marion was an avid cook and enjoyed scratch-off lottery tickets but mostly enjoyed being with her family and friends.
Marion’s personality will be carried on through each of her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband and her dog, Cooper, is a son, John, married to Crystal Means of New Holland; two granddaughters, Melissa Means and Scarlett Means; two great granddaughters, Mikayla Mestre and Aryanna Houck; a half-brother, Frank, married to Mary Butterfield of Florida; a half-sister, Sandra Hostetter of Denver; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death is a daughter, Brenda Showalter; a brother, Charles Klader; and a half sister, Anna Schmeck.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at the WellSpan York Hospital Open Heart ICU for their excellent and kind care of Marion.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 22 at 2 pm at the Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland with visitation from 1-2 pm.
