Mark M. Leaman, 88, a resident of Ephrata Manor, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
He was the husband of the late Brenda Martin Leaman who died June 24, 2026. Born in East Earl Township, he was the son of the late Clayton and Esther Martin Leaman.
Mark retired from Conestoga Wood where he had worked for over thirty years and prior to that worked at Rutt Kitchens for 16 years. He was a member of Mountain Springs Mennonite Church. He also served as pastor of the former Welsh Mountain Mennonite Church from 1976-1982 and as Bishop over the Paradise/Hershey District from 1982 to 2002. He enjoyed spending time at their cabin with family, as well as doing woodworking projects and volunteering at Christian Aid Ministries.
Surviving are three children, Gary L. husband of Joyce Lapp Leaman of New Holland, Charlotte wife of Keith Horning of Denver, and Brian husband of Claudia Johns Leaman of Marathon, FL; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy wife of Horace Wanner of New Holland, and a brother, Paul Leaman of Terre Hill. He was preceded in death by a stillborn son and by siblings, Luke Leaman, Evelyn Bare, Roy Leaman, Clayton Leaman, Jr, Elmer Leaman and Irene Leaman.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 31, at 2:30 P.M. at Weaverland Church, 210 Weaverland Valley Road, East Earl, PA with Pastors James Bowman and Donald Fox officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
