Martha Hansen Cressman

Martha Hansen Cressman, 76, of New Holland, PA was welcomed into the loving arms of her savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday June 16, 2023.

She was born to parents Carl and Martha Hansen, January 27, 1947 in Galveston, Tx.

She married the late Luther Cressman in 1966, and they lived together for many years in Maryland.

Martha is survived by two children: Khristine “Kacy" Leach and husband Dana, of Ellicott City, MD; Richard Cressman and wife Danielle, of Coatesville, PA. She is also survived by grandchildren Khristopher Leach and Samantha Harper, Brandon Leach and wife Alisha, Joshua Leach, Camille Cressman, Lacey Cressman and Holden Cressman and great-grandchildren Tyler, Luther, Luna, Jayla and Dawson, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband Luther, her parents Carl and Martha Hansen, her brother Neils “Jerry” Hansen and sister Carline Lehnhoff.

Martha worked over 30 years for, and retired from the Social Security Administration. She loved collecting and crafting, but most of all she enjoyed going to all her grandchildren's events as they grew up. She loved cheering them on in football, soccer, plays, and concerts. To say she was proud, is an understatement, she made a point to get every schedule. Most of all our mom enjoyed being a grandmother, and great-grandmother “Gigi” and making it a point to not miss out on anything they were involved in.

She attended Trinity Lutheran Church in New Holland, PA where she loved being a part of the quilting group, and snuggling babies in the nursery.

Martha will be greatly missed, but we find peace in knowing she gets to spend her 57th wedding anniversary with her dearly missed husband.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
