Martha S. Stauffer

Martha Stauffer, 96, of Denver, passed away on July 31, 2015 at the Cocalico Christian Home. She was the wife of the late Paul Z. Stauffer, who died in 2005.

Born on April 26, 1919 in East Earl Township, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Hettie (Sauder) Zimmerman.

She was a member of the Weaverland Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference. Martha was employed at Blue Ball Garment Factory, Walter W. Moyer Company/Gerber, and Good’s Store. She enjoyed making crafts and sharing them with those who visited her. She was always appreciative of all that was done for her.

She is survived by three daughters and one son: Edith, wife of Vernon Burkholder, Ickesburg, Esther Mae, wife of Raymond Martin, East Earl, Erma Stauffer, wife of Ron Roundy, Los Osos, CA, and Eugene Stauffer, husband of Mabel (Musser), Ephrata. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 1 foster grandson, 41 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Martha was preceded in death by six brothers: George S., Jacob S., Christian S., Adam S., Clayton S., and Martin S. Zimmerman; and a great-grandson, Brian Graybill.

Funeral Services will be held at the Weaverland Mennonite Church, Weaverland Rd., East Earl PA 17519 on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 9:30 AM officiated by Bishop Amos G. Martin, Bishop Curvin Zimmerman, Amos K. Martin, and Ivan Hurst. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. A viewing will be held at the Martindale Fellowship Center, 352 Martindale Rd., Ephrata PA 17522 on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 5-8 PM. Kindly omit flowers.
