Martha W. Stauffer, 97, of 1105 Sheep Hill Rd., New Holland, died Monday, January 21 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Stauffer in 1976.
Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late David N. and Ada (Wenger) Weaver.
Martha was a homemaker and a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.
Surviving are seven children: Anna Stauffer, New Holland; Ella married to Noah S. Zimmerman, Martinsburg; Emma married to John Zeiset, Thorp, WI; Martha married to Henry Zeiset, Thorp, WI; Titus W. married to Mary (Leinbach) Stauffer, Charles City, IA; Esther married to Jonas Zeiset, Lewisburg, and Edna married to Luke Zeiset, Charles City, IA; 44 grandchildren; 157 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren and a brother John married to Annie (Shirk) Weaver.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild, seven great grandchildren and five siblings: Mary Zimmerman, Menno Weaver, Ella Hoover, Lena Weaver and Anna Weaver.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, January 24 at 12:15 p.m. at her late home with further services at 1 p.m. at Weaverland Mennonite Church with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at her late home on Wednesday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements.
