Marvin R. Stoltzfus, 82, of Narvon, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at home under the care of Hospice & Community Care, Lancaster. He was the husband of Emily (Fretz) Stoltzfus, formerly of Lansdale, for 55 years.
Marvin was born in Monterey, and was the son of the late Clarence S. and Barbara (Arment) Stoltzfus. He retired in 2004 from Martin Limestone, Inc., Blue Ball, where he had worked for 39 years as a salesman, quarry foreman, and Quarry Division Manager.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and riding motorcycle. He was involved at Tel Hai Camp and Retreat, Honey Brook, for many years as a volunteer and Board member. He attended Christian Fellowship Church, New Holland.
He is survived by his wife Emily and two children, M. Paul Stoltzfus, married to Debra (Hitt) Stoltzfus, Morgantown, and Marnita, wife of Paul Hartline, Narvon; and seven grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Norman married to Betty (Tyson) Stoltzfus, Leola; two sisters, Nancy, wife of Raymond T. Good, Akron, and Mary, wife of Nevin Boll, Lititz.
A Memorial Service will be held at Christian Fellowship Church, 758 Spruce Road, New Holland, Monday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Fred Raupp officiating. There will be a viewing at the church on Sunday from 2 – 4 p.m. Visitation hours will also be at the church on Monday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the Memorial Service. Burial at the convenience of the family in Pine Grove Cemetery, Elverson.
Marvin’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Garden Spot Village Adult Day Services for their kind and compassionate care for Marvin the past eight years and Hospice & Community Care for the past month.
