Mary Bowers Sensenig, 72, of 145 Wanner Rd., New Holland, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at her home. Her husband, Earl Ray Sensenig, survives. They had been married for 53 years.
Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Fox and Edwina Rissmiller (Bowers) Weaver.
She was a homemaker and a member of South Hinkletown Mennonite Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven children: Julia W. wife of Eugene N. Burkholder, Robesonia; Roy W. husband of Ruth E. (Zimmerman) Sensenig, Ephrata; David W. husband of Donna J. (Martin) Sensenig, New Holland; Michael W. husband of Melissa M. (Hurst) Sensenig, Newmanstown; Earl Dean husband of Sharon H. (Burkholder) Sensenig, Ephrata; Jonathan W. husband of Charlene K. (Nolt) Sensenig, Stevens; Mary Kristine wife of Cleason S. Martin, Newmanstown; 33 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four siblings: Marian B. wife of Samuel G. Musser, Myerstown; Ella B. wife of Marvin M. Hurst, Denver; Pauline B. wife of John M. Sensenig, Nottingham; Carl B. husband of Erla G. (Hurst) Weaver, Ephrata.
She was preceded in death by a brother Martin Weaver.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 9 a.m. at Fairmount Home Farm Crest Chapel with further services at 9:30 a.m. at South Hinkletown Mennonite Church with Bishop Amos G. Martin, Harlan Martin, Merle Nolt, and Amos K. Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at Fairmount Homes Farm Crest Chapel on Sunday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements.
