Mary M. Burkholder, 82, of New Holland, formerly of Ephrata, died Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late David M. and Etta P. (Myers) Burkholder.
She worked as a secretary from 1964-1985 at Burkholder Quarry in Martindale. For many years she worked as a kitchen volunteer at Water Street Rescue Mission, Lancaster.
She was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church, Lancaster Conference.
Surviving is a sister, Clara M., married to Leon Z. Martin of Ephrata; two brothers, Eugene M., married to Betty Burkholder of Asheville, NC, and Melvin M., married to Elaine Burkholder of Neffsville; and a brother-in-law, Paul B. Good of Ephrata; along with many nieces and nephews, who will miss their Aunt Mary greatly.
Preceding her in death are two brothers, Lloyd and David Burkholder; and two sisters, Anna Sensenig and Etta Good.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 13 at 10 AM at the Martindale Mennonite Church, 171 Hurst Road, Ephrata with ministers Harold B. Good, John J. Rutt, II, and Luke W. Weaver officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held at the Church on Monday from 6-8 PM and on Tuesday from 9-10 AM.
