Mary Ella Eby

Mary Ella Eby, 94, of New Holland, died Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Race Street House in Richland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eli S. Eby, in 1985.

Born in Terre Hill, she was the daughter of the late Eli Z. and Mary (Nolt) Zimmerman.

She was a homemaker and a member of Martindale Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

Surviving are six children: Elva married to Elvin Kurtz, Scipio Center, NY, Elton married to Lena Mae Eby, New Holland, Linda married to Nelson Sensenig, Akron, Marian married to Dale Musser, Richland, Ruth Ann married to Nelson Nolt, Myerstown, Janice married to Arthur Martin, Lebanon, 42 grandchildren, 120 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and three sisters: Alta Hinkle, Fleetwood, Edna Martin, Arbela, MO and Anna Martin, Fleetwood.

She was preceded in death by three siblings: Ada Eby, Lizzie Horst and Irvin Zimmerman, a grandson and a great grandson.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, May 26, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at Weaverland Mennonite Church with Bishop Amos G. Martin, Paul Hurst, David Kurtz, and Randall Fox officiating, Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewings will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fairmount Homes Farm Crest Chapel. Kindly omit flowers. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
