Mary Ella Zimmerman

Mary Ella W. (Martin) Zimmerman, 88, of 1305 Weaverland Rd., East Earl died Monday Sept. 3, 2012 at her home.

Born in East Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late John J and Lydia Ann (Weaver) Martin. She was the wife of the late Paul N. Zimmerman who died April 18, 2012.

A homemaker, she was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Surviving are three sons: Paul M married to Ruth (Leid) Zimmerman of Martindale; James M. married to Susan (Martin) Zimmerman and John David married to Katie (Martin) Zimmerman, both of East Earl; a son-in-law Aidin, married to Frances (Hoover) Burkholder of Fleetwood; 36 grandchildren; 115 great grandchildren; and a brother Aaron I. Martin of Ephrata.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, was a daughter, Marian M. Burkholder, a grandson Mark L. Zimmerman, and five brothers: Reuben, Henry, John, Noah, and Weaver Martin and four sisters: Eva Nolt, Lydia Mae Nolt, Elizabeth Nolt, and Anna Sensenig.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, Sept. 7 at 9 am at her late home with further services at 9:30 am at Weaverland Mennonite Church with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at her late home on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Kindly omit flowers.
