Mary G. Messner

Mary G. Messner, 79, of 11 Plank Ave., Willow Street, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at her home. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Lester R. Messner.

Born in Brecknock Twp., she was the daughter of the late Jonathan and Clara (Herr) Ludwig.

She was homemaker who enjoyed gardening, baking cookies, her cats and attending the Make-A-Wish convoy every year.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters: Deborah married to Gordon Kolb, Sr., Lancaster; Donna L. Mothersell, Willow Street; Sandra Miranda-Cuellar, Mt. Wolf; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter, and a close friend Wendy Kissinger and her three children.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert M. Mothersell, Jr. and a brother, John Henry Ludwig.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E.Main St., Terre Hill with Pastor Stephen Richey officiating. Interment will be in Voganville Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Eckenroth’s on Monday from 6 – 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 1 – 2 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
