Mary Jane Stauffer

Mary Jane Stauffer(Janie, Boppie) of East Earl, went home to be with Jesus on June 3, 2019. She was born December 4, 1940, the daughter of Hettie Ann and Daniel Hurst. She married Leon Stauffer on March 7, 1959, and they celebrated 60 years of marriage in March. Janie was a vibrant and active woman who loved spending time with her family and friends, gardening, cooking and being active at Christian Fellowship Church of New Holland. She most recently worked as a cashier at Weaver’s Store in Fivepointville. Prior to that she owned and operated market stands and was employed at SquireSide Café. She will be missed by her three children, daughter Donna married to Ervin Blank, Lewisburg, son Leon Lamar married to Stacey Weaver, East Earl, and son Dwayne married to Jennifer Good, Denver. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Lindsay (Nathan) Hoy, Danville, Joshua (Lydia) Blank, Milton, Courtney Stauffer, Kyle Stauffer, Zachary Stauffer and Ryan Stauffer; two great grandchildren, Samuel and Penelope Hoy; and one brother, Louis Hurst, Fairmont. A brother-in-law, Irvin Weaver, Fairmont, two sister-in-law's, Arlene Hurst, Landis Homes,and Edna Shonk, Ephrata. She was preceded in death by siblings: Weaver, Earl, Clarence, James, John, Paul and Edwin Hurst; and Betty Newswanger and Ruth Weaver.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 7, at 10:00 A.M. at Christian Fellowship Church, 758 Spruce Road, New Holland, PA. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. and on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contribution in Mrs. Stauffer’s memory may be made to the Christian Fellowship Church Building Fund.
