Mary Ann Johnson

Mary Ann Johnson, 86, passed away at home on Sunday, April 13, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her loving husband, Ron, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage, two daughters, Cathy Proviano (Chuck) and Carol Johnson, and a grandson, Cameron Proviano. Her father, Earl K. Witwer, and her mother, Mary Musselman Witwer, preceded her in death.

Mary Ann was born on April 2, 1939, in Lancaster, PA. After graduating from Governor Mifflin High School, she attended Maryland Medical Secretarial School. After meeting and marrying Ron, she held various administrative positions in Lancaster County, including Dr. Hutchinson’s practice, Conestoga Wood Products, and Shady Maple Gift Shop. Her favorite part of life was her family, who brought her great joy and much happiness. Her beautiful smile, sweet demeanor, and ongoing words of kindness and encouragement will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held at Eckenroth Funeral Home, 209 E. Main St, Terre Hill, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, preceded by visitation with the family at 10 a.m. A private burial will take place later at the Bowmansville Cemetery.
