Mary E. Kurtz

Mary E. Kurtz, 97, of Elverson, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at home. Mary was one of eleven children, born to the late Milton and Irene (Hinnershitz) Fisher. Her husband, William L. Kurtz, passed away on December 9, 2003.

Mary was a beloved member of the Elverson community. She worshiped at Elverson United Methodist Church and only stopped attending after her health required her to do so. She will be remembered as a loving and nurturing wife, mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed the companionship of her canine friends.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Schurr and her husband, Jeffrey, of Elverson and her grandchildren, Nicholas Schurr, of Darby, PA, and Maira Schurr and her significant other, James MacDonald, of Philadelphia.

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her siblings, Frances Sellers, Edith Held, Sara Kurr, Dorothy Bingaman, Ruth Steff, William Fisher, Helen Nye, Alvin Fisher, Charles Fisher, and Paul Fisher.

A private graveside service will be held in Elverson United Methodist Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
