Mary R. Stauffer, 78, of 194 Kurtz Rd., Ephrata, died Monday, January 21 at her home following a long illness.
Born in Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late David W. and Mary (Reich) Stauffer.
Mary gave nursing care both at Fairmount Homes and as a private duty aide.
She was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.
Surviving are five siblings: Horace R. husband of Mary Stauffer; Norman R., husband of the late Susie Stauffer; Beatrice R. Stauffer; David R. husband of the late Annie Stauffer; Lloyd R. husband of Etta Stauffer.
She was preceded in death by eight siblings: Irwin R. Stauffer, Charles R. Stauffer, Earl R. Stauffer husband of Sis, Margaret R. Shirk, Vera R. Stauffer, Paul R. Stauffer, Verna R. Stauffer, and Elsie R. Stauffer.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, January 25 at 9 a.m. at her late home with further services at 9:30 a.m. at Martindale Mennonite Church with Bishop Amos G. Martin, Amos K. Martin, Ivan B. Hurst, and Paul Hurst, Jr. officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at her late home on Thursday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
