Maryann Fink

Maryann Fink, 92, a resident of Garden Spot Village, New Holland, PA, passed away at the home on Friday, May 3, 2024.

She was born in Kansas City, MO, on October 26, 1931. She was the chosen adopted daughter of the late George and Catherine (Van Dyke) Apenhorst.

Maryann graduated from Hastings College and began teaching fifth grade and music at Hawthorne Elementary School in Hastings, NE, and retired after 25 years as a houseparent at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, where she also was accompanist and director of the Senior Girls Chorus. She was a member of the New Holland First Baptist Church where she served as pianist for many years. When she and her husband Bill moved to Garden Spot Village, she directed the Garden Spot Village Voices for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, William L. Fink, a daughter Jackie Marie Broughton, son-in-law Jimmie N. Broughton, brother-in-law Glenn E. Fink, sister-in-law LaVergne Fink Oelschlager, brother-in-law Lester W. Oelschlager.

She is survived her daughter Roxie L. Fink Jones, and son-in- law Robert W. Jones, of Mascoutah, IL, nephews Dennis (Doris)Oelschlager of South Bend, NE, and Steven (Barb) Oelschlager, of Colombus, NE, and many more family and friends.

There will be no memorial service per her request. When you remember Maryann, smile and rejoice! She is HOME with her Lord!
