Maxie P. Bennett

Maxie P. Bennett, 83, of 323 W. Conestoga St., New Holland, died Monday, October 26, 2015 at her daughter’s home. Her husband, Ray Bennett, preceded her in death in 1991.

Born in Bakersville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Lassie (Barnett) Peterson.

Maxie had been employed by Pepperidge Farms for 22 years.

Surviving are six children: Willard Bennett, NC; Dorothy (Naaman) Stoltzfus, Paradise, PA; Raymond (JoAnne) Bennett, Honey Brook, PA; Janice (James) New Holland, PA; Clayton (Penny) Bennett, Wagontown, PA; Dwayne (Toni) Bennett, DE; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; seven siblings: Elva Bennett, PA; Janie Jones, NC; Mack Peterson, NC; Walt Peterson, NC; Anner Osborne, TN; Nora McCurry, NC; Donna Briggs, NC.

Her funeral will be held on Sunday, November 1, at 1 p.m. at the Henline and Hughes Funeral Home. Viewings will be Saturday from 5 -7 p.m. and Sunday from Noon-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
