Michael D. Green

Michael D. Green, 73, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at his Leola residence.

Born on July 28, 1942, he was a son of the late Samuel P. and Audrey (Van Steyn) Green. Michael was a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and the York Academy of the Arts. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He later went on to work for, and retire from, Armstrong World Industries where he was a senior designer. Mike volunteered with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lancaster and the United Way of Lancaster, and in his spare time enjoyed art, fishing, traveling, biking, and sightseeing.

He is survived by four siblings: Robert S. Green, husband of Susan, of Morehead City, NC, Richard T. Green, husband of Louise, of Lancaster, Pamela M. Chillas of Lancaster, and Jonathan J. Green, husband of Donna, of Lititz; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 9:30-11:30 AM at Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland PA 17557. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery of Lancaster.
