Mildred N. Witwer

Mildred N. (Strause) Witwer, 84, of Bowmansville, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Robert L. Witwer, who preceded her in death in 2002.

Born in Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Karrie (Hemminger) Strause. She was a homemaker who in her spare time enjoyed camping, needlework and crocheting, and watching professional wrestling.

Mildred is survived by 5 children: Robert L. Witwer, Jr. of Reading, Dale L. Witwer of Bowmansville, Gregory S. Witwer of Ephrata, William E. Witwer of Bowmansville, and Mary Jane Smith of Stevens; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill PA 17581 with Pastor Karen Sweimler officiating. Interment will be in the Center Union Cemetery. Viewings will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 PM and on Wednesday from 9-10 AM at the funeral home.
