Miriam S. Eberly

Miriam S. Eberly, 85, of 1190 Oaklyn Dr., Narvon, died Monday, July 23, 2018 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan R. Eberly, in 2010.

Born in East Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Noah and Anna (Shirk) Zimmerman.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Bowmansville Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Surviving are 10 children: Ruth married to Menno Shirk, Latham, MO; Sarah married to Henry Leid, Elkton, KY; James married to Mary (Hoover) Eberly, Dundee, NY; David married to Irene (Hoover) Eberly, Dundee, NY; Elva married to James Martin, Narvon; Lucy married to Edward Hoover, Dundee, NY; Ivan married to Miriam (Zimmerman) Eberly, Penn Yan, NY; Marvin married to Kathryn (Martin) Eberly, Penn Yan, NY; Alma married to Mervin Martin, Riceville, IA; Miriam married to Elvin Martin, New Holland; 74 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; three siblings: Bertha Burkholder, NY; Sarah Nolt, PA and Allen Zimmerman, PA.

She was preceded in death by a son, Elvin Eberly and five sisters: Alta Brubaker, Mabel Brubacher, Esther Nolt, Emma Zimmerman, Leah Hoover.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at her late home at 9 AM with further services at 9:30 AM at Bowmansville Mennonite Church with Bishop Elam Zimmerman officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at her late home on Friday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Kindly omit flowers.
