Mona J. Hohl, 70, of Union Twp., Berks County, died unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, May 4, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hohl, Sr., in 2014.
Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Frank D. and Audrey (McWilliams) Cairns.
Mona was a 1971 graduate of Twin Valley High School. She devoted her life to her family and especially loved her grandchildren and great grandson.
She had attended Rockville Mennonite Church.
Surviving are three sons: William (Teresa) Hohl, Jr., Adam (Amber) Hohl, Donald Hohl, five grandchildren; Rachel E. Hohl, Dylan Herb, Faith Herb, Kyle Thompson, Adam “AJ” Hohl, Jr., a great grandson Ryan Ludwig, three siblings: Robin “Rob” Cairns, Joseph Cairns and Cindy (Timothy) Dunn. In addition to many nieces and nephews, she was especially close to Elizabeth Gibbons, Danielle Kalinoski, and Michelle Bishop.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank D. Cairns, Jr., Charles Cairns, and Donald Cairns.
An informal celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Rockville Mennonite Church, 210 Cupola Rd., Honey Brook at 12 Noon with lunch provided. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Angelman Syndrome Foundation, 3015 E. New York St., Suite A2 #285, Aurora, IL 60504.
