Nancy L. Ellsworth

Nancy L. Ellsworth, 77, of New Holland, PA, passed away on March 26, 2025, at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital. Nancy was born in Lancaster, to her late parents, John M. and Miriam (Keener) Thomas.

Nancy realized a full career as a healthcare administrator, and enjoyed reading, knitting, gardening, along with a passionate collection of sheep figures, reflecting her life theme of Psalm 23.

She is survived by her children, Douglas Ellsworth and his wife Kimberly and Matthew Ellsworth, and her eight grandchildren: Jessica, Trevor, Laurel, Kayla, Jakob, Kiersten, Julia, and Kyleigh, all of New Holland. In addition, she is survived by her siblings, John, J. Robert, David, Sharon, and Daryl.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her brother, J. Richard Thomas.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Mount Vernon Christian Church, 1 Lighthouse Drive, Kirkwood, PA, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Paul Thomson officiating. A time of visitation will be held with the family beginning at 1:00 PM until the time of the service and again immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions to be offered on the day of the memorial service, in honor of Nancy’s nephew, Mark Thomas. The family will donate all contributions collected to a charity of their choice, a family tradition that Nancy was fond of.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Groff-High Funeral Home, of New Holland.
