Nancy A. Hoober

Nancy A. Hoober, 74, of New Holland, died Monday, June 15, 2026, at her home.

Born in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Roy W. Hoober and Eleanor L. (Ohl) Hoober Nelson.

Nancy was employed by Ford New Holland as a service manual editor. She then served as a director at Calvary United Methodist Church in Mohnton and later owned and operated Legacy Books in New Holland. She was a part of several churches throughout her life where she served as a Sunday school teacher and pianist.

She enjoyed reading and quiet, peaceful mornings, loved animals and was especially attached to cats in recent years.

Nancy was mindful with her words and actions, showing her strong faith by her selfless, kind and compassionate attitude. She sought to love and understand her family and others, always open to learning new things. Her one unfinished goal was to write the story of her daughter, Cristina, who died in 2016, to help her grandchildren remember Cristina’s life.

Surviving are two grandchildren, Tristin Rosa and Ariana Feliciano, a brother Thomas Hoober and several nieces and a nephew.

A celebration of life luncheon will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from noon to 3 p.m. at Garden Spot Village in the Village Park.
