Naomi E. Wasser, of New Holland and formerly Telford, PA, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 28, 2021. She was 84.
She was the wife of the late Charles W. Wasser who proceeded her in death on November 1, 2018, just four days before his 83rd birthday. Charlie and Naomi had been married for 63 years.
Born in Bergey, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Bertha (Boyer) Ellinger. Naomi was a 1953 graduate of Souderton High School.
Naomi retired from Merck Sharpe and Dome where she worked for 30 years and at one point in her employment at Merck was one of the Sucret’s Ladies.
A member of the Christian Fellowship Church of New Holland, Naomi’s love for JESUS manifested itself through her servant’s heart. She loved to serve others and therefore volunteered her time and energy at Garden Spot where she was a resident.
Naomi lived an active and vibrant life at Garden Spot, volunteering, playing cards with her friends, and walking her dog Chloe.
She is survived by her three sons, Greg and his wife Nancy (Kilmer) of Boyertown, PA, Brian and his wife Beverly (Shutt) of Telford, PA, and Scott and Corinne (Prestia) of Telford, PA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren (Nikki, Jason, Alaithia, Bobbi, Ryan, Breanne, Dora, Brooke, Dan, Benjamin, Scotty and Micah. Naomi also has 23 great grandchildren. Naomi has two surviving sisters, Eleanor (Ellinger) Fretz and Lois (Ellinger) Siegfried.
A Memorial Service will be held on August 8th, at 2PM in the Garden Spot Village Chapel. Garden Spot Village (433 S Kinzer Ave, New Holland, PA 17557).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to New Tribes Missionaries to Papua New Guinea, Ben and Nikki (Naomi’s Granddaughter) Buckner. Mail your contributions to the following address:
