Neal G. Overly

Neal G. Overly, 67, of New Holland, passed away at Lancaster General Hospital after a valiant fight with leukemia, on Monday, December 9, 2024. He was the son of Glenn Marvin Overly and the late Patricia Yvonne (Kurtz) Mummaw. His loving wife, Pamela J. (Jones) Overly, survives him at home.

Neal was an adventurous man who enjoyed riding his dirt bike, motorcycle and playing ice hockey. He enjoyed watching both the NHL and AHL and was an avid fan of both the Boston Bruins and Hershey Bears. Neal enjoyed playing good practical jokes on his friends and family, especially his nieces and nephews. He and Pamela are members of Ranck’s United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife and father, Neal is survived by his sisters, Cindy Henry and her husband John, of West Earl and Lisa Bush and her husband Dave, of New Holland. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Jeff Jones and his wife Wendy, of New Holland, his mother-in-law Kay Jones, also of New Holland and his seven beloved nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Ranck’s United Methodist Church, 700 Ranck Road, New Holland, PA. Pastor Kris Pursel of Ranck’s United Methodist Church will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will occur immediately following the Memorial Service in the adjoining church cemetery.
