Noah W. Horning

Noah W. Horning, 83, of 430 Panorama Dr., Denver, died Sunday, January 15, 2012 at his home after a lengthy illness. Born in Caernarvon Twp., he was the son of the late Samuel S. and Frances S. (Weaver) Horning. His wife, Emma N. (Zimmerman) Horning, died Sept. 16, 2011. Noah was a farmer and a member of the Old Order Wenger Mennonite Church of Bowmansville. Surviving are six children, Paul Z., married to Irene (Weaver) Horning, Martha, married to Joseph Zimmerman, and Aaron, married to Lizzie (Reiff) Horning, all of Shiloh, OH, Noah, Jr., married to Martha (Zimmerman) Horning of East Earl, Mary, married to David Brubaker of Denver, and Ruth, married to Clarence Hoover of Shiloh, OH; 35 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; a brother, Titus W. Horning of East Earl; and two sisters, Sarah, married to Rufus Oberholtzer of New Holland, and Martha, married to Edwin Shirk of Ephrata. Preceding him in death are two brothers, Mahlon and Samuel; and a sister Ruth. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 19 at 1 pm at the home of David and Mary Brubaker, 430 Panorama Dr., Denver, with further services at 1:30 pm at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church with the Bishops Elmer H. Leid and Steven Z. Leid officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held at the home of David and Mary Brubaker on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Kindly omit flowers.
