Noah H. Martin

Noah H. Martin, 89, of 563 N. Railroad Ave., New Holland, died Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at his home. His wife, Martha M. (Zeiset) Martin, preceded him in death in 2011.

Born in New Holland, he was the son of the late Menno and Elizabeth (Hoover) Martin.

Noah was a farmer and a member of the New Holland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Surviving are seven children: Vera married to Joseph H. Martin, Penn Yan, NY, Edwin Z. married to Catherine (Martin) Martin, Penn Yan, NY, Elvin Z. married to Rachel (Reiff) Martin, Wellman, IA, Verna married to Irvin Z. Burkholder, Rushville, NY, Esther married to Harold W. Weaver, Stanley, NY, John Z. married to Vera (Sauder) Martin, New Holland, Mary married to Harold W. Shirk, Narvon, 59 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren a sister Anna Ringler, Narvon and three sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Mrs. Aaron) Martin, Lizzie (Mrs. Adam) Martin and Anna (Mrs. Amos) Martin.

He was preceded in death by nine brothers and three sisters.

His funeral will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 at his late home at 1 p.m. with further services at 1:30 p.m. at New Holland Mennonite Church with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the late home on Sunday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
