Nora L. Nolt

Nora L. (Newswanger) Nolt, 76, of New Holland, died Monday, March 9, 2015, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Weaver M. Nolt, who died August 5, 1988.

Born in Caernarvon Township, she was a daughter of the late Aaron B. and Anna W. (Leid) Newswanger. She was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Surviving are 9 children: Anna N. Nolt of New Holland, Esther N. Nolt of New Holland, Mary N. Nolt of New Holland, Ruth N., wife of Lloyd M. Zimmerman, of Pembroke, KY, Wilma N. Nolt of Sadsburyville, PA, Leon N. Nolt, husband of Lois (Zimmerman), of New Holland, Alvin N. Nolt, husband of Darla (Burkholder), of Ephrata, Mervin N. Nolt, husband of Rose (Beiler), of Leola, and Sara N. Nolt of New Holland; 8 siblings: Sara L. Newswanger of Narvon, Allan L. Newswanger, husband of Lizzie (Sauder), of Morgantown, Alice L. Zimmerman of Millmont, PA, Mary L. Newswanger of Narvon, Ida L. Zimmerman, wife of Ivan, of Ephrata, Eli L. Newswanger of Narvon, Aaron L. Newswanger, husband of Kathryn (Shirk), of Narvon, and Anna L. Newswanger of Narvon; a sister-in-law, Ellla Nolt Newswanger of Narvon; and 23 grandchildren.

Nora was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother Martin, husband of Ella, her sister-in-law Minerva, wife of Eli, and her brothers-in-law Adin Zimmerman and Ivan Fox, the first and second husbands of Alice.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, March 14 at 8:45 a.m. at 1031 E. Earl Rd., New Holland, PA, 17557 with further services at 9:30 a.m. at Weaverland Mennonite Church, Weaverland Road, East Earl, with the Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at 1031 E. Earl Rd. on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
