Norman L. Huyett

Norman L. Huyett, 74, of Ephrata, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on February 15, 2025. Norman was born in Gap, PA, the youngest of sixteen children, to his late parents, Clayton and Jennie (Fox) Huyett. He is survived by his companion of 12 years, Anna Hertzog, of New Providence, PA.

Norman was a man with a great sense of humor. He loved his family dearly and cherished all the time he was able to spend with them. He enjoyed watching Phillies baseball and NASCAR, drinking Pepsi, and eating sweets. His greatest love was being in the great outdoors and fishing. He was a member of the Lancaster County CB Radio Club, where he enjoyed socializing, playing bingo and attending picnics.

Norman is survived by his children, Kimberly Huyett, of Ephrata, Jason Huyett, of Lady Lake, FL, Bryan Huyett, husband of Elizabeth (Yarborough) Huyett, of Bartlett, TN, and his stepchildren, Ronald Stoltzfus, of Peach Bottom and Carol Smeltz, wife of Dale Smeltz, Jr., of Quarryville. Fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive him. In addition, Norman is survived by his brothers, Wilson, Clem, Harry, and Raymond Huyett and his sister Kathryn Gentry.

In addition to his parents, Norman was predeceased by his wives, Bonita Burkholder and Dorothy Redcay Stoltzfus Huyett and ten siblings.

A Memorial Service with a time of sharing will be held beginning at 8:00 PM at Groff-High Funeral Home, Inc., 145 West Main Street, New Holland, on Thursday, February 27, 2025. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 PM until the time of the service. A private inurnment will occur at the convenience of the family at Stumptown Mennonite Cemetery, Bird-In-Hand, PA.
