Norman E. Waltz

Norman E. Waltz, 87, of 2829 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, formerly of Narvon, died Saturday, March 24 at Lancashire Hall. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella (Kohl) Waltz on October 17, 2010.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late William Clark and Alma (Campbell) Waltz.

He had been employed at C & D Battery Corp. in Leola, retiring in 1986.

A member of Mt. Culmen E. C. Church, he was known for his collection of antique valentines and movie star paper dolls which he exhibited at F & M and area nursing homes. He served in the Army during World War II.

Surviving are five children: William married to Sue (Richards) Waltz, Reading; Robert D. Waltz, Reinholds; Sylvia J. married to Barry Getz, Narvon; Terry married to Cindy (Morgan) Waltz, Denver; Ray A. Waltz, Narvon; 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Norman R. Waltz, a daughter Stella M. Zimmerman, and two brothers, George and Frank Waltz.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, March 29 at 11 AM at the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill with Rev. F. Kenneth Hoffer officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Culmen E. C. Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Eckenroth’s on Thursday from 10 – 11 AM.
