Parke J. Shissler

Parke J. Shissler, 64, a native of Lancaster, went home on Thursday, November 17, 2016 to be with his loved ones who passed on before him. He was the loving husband of Traci A. Shissler, with whom he shared over 13 years of marriage.

Born in Lancaster, he was a son of Betty Lou (Landis) Shissler and the late Jacob H. Shissler.

Parke was one of the original Custer’s Last Band members. He thoroughly enjoyed playing the bass in numerous bands, and music was his first love. He had retired from working a laboratory tech and also worked at Cenveo Company as a ITM Tech.

In addition to his wife and his mother, Parke is survived by his son, Parke Michael Shissler, of Philadelphia and two step children, Tracina Harrison (husband, Marcus) of Leola and Greg Shelton of Lancaster; three brothers: Daniel Landis Shissler of Lancaster, Jack Shissler (wife, Nancy) of North Carolina, and Bert Shissler of Lancaster; and a sister, Claudella Tripp (husband, Hal) of New York; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Parke was preceded in death by his father.
