Patricia A Weaver, 93, of Lancaster, passed away on May 12, 2025, at her home in Lancaster. She was born in New Holland, to her late parents, Ira and Viola (Martin) Musser.
Pat graduated from New Holland High School in 1950. She then attended and graduated from Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing, earning her RN. Pat worked as an RN at LGH. After staying home for a few years to focus on her children the family moved to Montana, where she was active in her church and was secretary for New Covenant Christian Church, in Kalispell, MT. Pat enjoyed an active life of skiing, hiking, gardening, and all the beauty of Montana. Ultimately, she returned to nursing in private practice in Kalispell, for Dr. Agee. After returning to Lancaster, to care for her elderly parents, she worked at Millersville University until her retirement in 2002. During her employment time at Millersville, she became President of the Pennsylvania State Employee Nurses Union. Additionally Pat volunteered at the Essa Flora Hospice Center. Always interested in helping others, she volunteered with the Red Cross as an AIDS instructor. Mom was a kind loving mother and person. She will be missed deeply by all that knew her.
She is survived by her two brothers, Rich and John Musser, and sisters-in-law Judy and Pat Musser, all of Lancaster, her sons, Andrew S., of Kalispell, MT, and Mitchell F., of Fort Madison, IA. Additionally, she has 6 grandchildren, Toney Weaver, of Manchester NH, Kaitlynn M. Weaver of Lititz, PA, Kira M. Weaver of Baltimore, MD, Yohana Rosenberger of Missoula, MT, Levi Weaver of Kalispell, MT, and Autumn Weaver of Pasadena, CA. She also has 4 great grandchildren, Jacob Assay, Alder Rosenberger, Annan Rosenberger, and Kameron Weaver.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ira and Viola (Martin) Musser of New Holland.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 West Main Street, New Holland, PA, beginning at 12:00 PM. The family will receive friends and guests one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
