Patricia Ann Cobb, 81, of New Holland, passed away at home on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
She was married 59 years to Carl J. Cobb. Born in Danville, she was the daughter of the late William “Bill” J. and Gertrude “Mickey” McWilliams Way.
Pat was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School class of 1962 and a graduate of Bloomsburg State College class of 1968. She taught school for one year at Danville Elementary School and then moved to Terre Hill and eventually New Holland. She retired as an elementary school teacher from the Elanco School District where she had been employed for 31 years. Pat was an avid Hershey Bears fan and had season tickets for over 30 years. She loved staying at a cottage near Knoebels, playing cards, reading, shopping, traveling and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Stephen Reformed Church in New Holland.
Surviving besides her husband is a son, Brian husband of Leslie Cobb of Denver; a daughter, Tracy L. Cobb of New Holland; two grandchildren, Alexyss Cobb and Ryan husband of Katie Terry; and three great grandchildren, Eli Keefer, Natalie Terry and Alek Davis. She was preceded in death by a sister, Winifred Donkochik.
The family would like to thank Hospice and Community Care and the staff at Lancaster General Hospital for the excellent care they provided to Pat.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Groff High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, PA on Saturday, April 18, at 11:00 A.M. The family will greet friends on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
