Patricia L. Knepper

Patricia “Pat” L. (Parsons) Knepper, 87, a resident of Garden Spot Village, passed away on October 14, 2025.

Born in Burnt Cabins, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard H. and Martha (Lister) Parsons.

She was the wife of Larimer “Larry” J. Knepper, with whom she shared 69 years of marriage.

She graduated from Hustontown High School in 1956. She worked as a waitress for Howard Johnson on the Pennsylvania Turnpike at the Willow Hill Plaza. After she and Larry married, she moved to New Holland and worked for various local restaurants as a waitress, then was a cook for the former Summit Valley Elementary for many years, then for the former Erbs Grocery Store. When she went to Erbs she was a grocery store clerk it was then bought out by Weis Markets.

She was a member of the New Holland United Methodist Church for 60 years, where she served on many committees. She was known especially for her baking and candy making abilities. She was a cook for many years for the former Liberty Fire Co. and was president of the lady’s auxiliary.

Her membership included the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows (Rebekah Lodge #280), the Order of the Eastern Star (former Samuel Fear Chapter #417, then Elizabethtown Chapter #407), International Order of Rainbow for Girls, the American Women’s Business Association.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, word puzzles, baking, making candy, visiting the family cabin in Hustontown, PA and spending time with her family.

Pat is survived by her husband, Larry, children, Larry D. Knepper, Bryan husband of Beth Ann Knepper and Lynette wife of Brian Corrie, grandchildren, Lindsay, Jennifer, Cameron, Patrick, Collin, Joel and Kira, great grandchildren, Brynlee, Juniper, Orion and her brother, Barry Parsons.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kayla Anne Knepper and her brothers, William and Carl Parsons.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S Kinzer Avenue, New Holland PA 17557 with Chaplain Chet Yoder officiating. A Visitation will be held from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM.

A burial will be held in Centerview Cemetery near Waterfall, PA. in Fulton Co.
