Patricia D. Rogers, 86, of 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Garden Spot Village, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard S. Rogers in 1978.


Pat was a resilient, compassionate and amazing woman who reared 4 children alone. She loved current events, diverse cultures and was an avid reader.


Born in Dayton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Carl Joseph and Leona Hannah (Stoltz) Drillette.


Pat was a College Registrar for Antioch College, Philadelphia and the Community College of Philadelphia, retiring in 1993. She had also served as an Administrator for the Great Lakes College Association. She enjoyed photography and was an animal lover, especially cats. Pat was a Quaker.


Surviving are four children: Rebecca Dickstein, married to Lon Turnbull, Denton, TX; Seth Dickstein, Philadelphia; Amy married to John Seabrook, Rockport, MA; and Anne D., married to Walt Stoltzfus, Red Run; two step-sons: Adam Dickstein married to Jill Saull, Philadelphia and Matthew Dickstein married to Penny Peng, Fremont, CA; four grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.


A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 30th at 10:30 AM at the Garden Spot Village Chapel with Chet Yoder officiating. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 10 – 10:30 AM. Kindly omit flowers. If desired, memorials may be made to Garden Spot Village Benevolent Fund, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557.
