Patricia A. Von Gehr, 88, a resident of Masonic Villages in Elizabethtown, formerly of New Holland, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

Born in Paradise, PA, she was the daughter of Russell B. and Mildred Shank Axe.

Patricia started working at the former State Bank of Paradise and then spent her entire career in the banking industry. She was a graduate of the former Paradise High School. Patricia was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in New Holland. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are two children, Holly (Nolt) wife of Robin Shaub of Lancaster, and Darren Nolt of Richmond, VA; four grandchildren, Erika (Shaub) wife of Steven Arena of Malvern, Michael husband of Anna Shaub of Lansdale, Joshua husband of Mekenzie Shaub of Yakima, WA and Olivia Nolt of Richmond, VA; great grandchildren, James Arena, Cameron Arena, and Isabelle Shaub who is due in July; and a sister, Betty Beane of Elizabethtown. She was preceded in death by siblings, Lloyd Axe, Donald Axe, and Joanne Supplee. The family would like to thank the Masonic Health Care Center Staff and the Masonic Hospice Team for the excellent care they provided to Patricia.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 20, at 10:30 A.M. at the Groff High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, PA with the Rev. Stan Shantz officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
