Paul W. Leid

Paul W. Leid, 85, of 905 Centerville Rd., New Holland died Friday, May 2, 2014 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Ann (Martin) Leid in 1995.

Born in Earl Twp., he was the son of the late John G. and Anna (Weaver) Leid.

Paul was a retired farmer and a member of the Martindale Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Surviving are 10 children: Anna Mary married to Isaac Z. Zimmerman, Terre Hill; Esther M. married to John Henry Nolt, New Holland; Mervin M. married to Alta Z. (Sensenig) Leid, Ephrata; Paul M. married to Marian M. (Sensenig) Leid, Shippensburg; John M. married to Erla Z. (Newswanger) Leid, Ephrata; Lydia Ann married to Lewis H. Sauder, Denver; Edna Mae, New Holland; Ellen M., Ephrata; Arlene M., New Holland; and Ruth Elaine married to Ben S. Zimmerman, Elkton, KY; 47 grandchildren; 80 great grandchildren; three sisters: Lizzie Imhoff, Goshen, IN; Emma married to Willis Nolt, Lititz; Susanna married to Alan Lemmon, Harrisonburg, VA and a sister-in-law Lydia F. Leid, New Holland.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, four brothers, and two great-grandsons.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 9 a.m. at his late home with further services at 9:30 a.m. at Martindale (Frame) Mennonite Church with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at his late home on Tuesday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
