Paul J. Pletcher

Paul J. Pletcher, 81, of New Holland, died unexpected on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Ephrata Community Hospital.

Born in Bausman, he was the son of the late Michael H. and Esther E. (Rudisill) Pletcher. His wife, Naomi (Kurtz) Pletcher died June 13, 2010.

Paul retired in 1991 after many years as an accountant for the New Holland Machine Company, now CNH.

He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Lancaster and also attended Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church in Terre Hill. He was also a member of the Institution of Management Accounts and the National Accountants Association. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and an avid model railroad collector, builder and admirer.

Surviving is a son, Michael K. Pletcher, and his partner, Michael Consagro of Allentown; two sisters, Marilyn, married to Brian Collins of Lancaster, and Dolores Garrett of Bausman; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Preceding him in death is a brother, James F. Pletcher.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 27 at 2 pm at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland with the Reverend George Grubb and the Reverend Al Hoffman officiating. Interment will be in the Terre Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be held at GSV on Monday from 12:30 – 2 pm.
